About Rama Tiru

Rama Tiru's artistic journey began early in her life with her childhood pursuits of painting, music and dance. As an adult, she poured her artistic passion into photography, transforming people and places captured during her global travels into striking images through her artistic vision. She still believes that her journey is just beginning with her sojourn into digital art.

Rama Tiru has been a photographer for the last 30 years with expertise in commercial/industrial photography for many successful campaigns and companies in India. Her art photography evolved from her prowess in classic commercial photography and portraiture, and her technical expertise in Digital techniques. Her creative experimentation with a variety of lighting techniques and photography of specific installation themes has lead to breathtaking and unique visions of mundane objects.

Today Rama is photographing various small towns in Texas capturing the essence of the past and the ever-changing present to provide a visual history for the future. She is also working on a collection of surreal work of Limited Edition archival pigment prints.

Rama is an Adjunct Faculty at the Austin Community College and Loves teaching in the Photography Department.
